Tremron Construction in Orange County, CA | Penhallow Remodeling Orange County

We provide independent Tremron paver and retaining wall installation and repair across Orange County as a General Contractor - Orange County, and the thing that separates our work here is simple: we know which Tremron products hold up in Orange County’s coastal air, HOA-governed tracts, and Santa Ana wind cycles, and which ones need a different approach. That knowledge changes how we bid the job and how we build it. If your Tremron patio, driveway, or retaining wall needs work, call us at (424) 541-1701 for a free estimate. We’ll give you the number first, then pick up the tool.

Why Orange County Residents Choose Us for Tremron Service

An open living space after a whole-home remodel

Most contractors in Orange County can lay a paver. Few can tell you why your Tremron Holland Stone driveway heaved at the control joints last fall, or whether the efflorescence on your Olde Towne patio is normal or a sign of a drainage problem. We can, because we’ve been working with Tremron products in this market long enough to know their tolerances and their failure points. Trevor Nash, our owner, learned construction at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College and spent decades running crews across Southern California before building our Orange County team. He’s the one who insists on written pricing and written guarantees on every Tremron job we take.

We’re an independent Tremron service provider. We don’t wear a manufacturer badge, and we won’t pretend to. What that means for you is straight talk about which pavers are worth keeping, which need replacing, and whether a repair will actually last in your specific part of Orange County. Our techs are background-checked and arrive in uniform, and a live person answers our phone 24/7. That’s the Penhallow standard, and it’s been the standard since the Kingswell family of companies was founded in 2004.

  • Genuine Tremron pavers and blocks, sourced through local Orange County masonry supply yards for exact color and dimension matching.
  • Written price before any work starts. Not a verbal range. A number you can hold us to.
  • 365-Day Done Right Promise on every project. If it fails inside a year, we come back and fix it at no charge.
  • Free second visit if a repair fails. No service call fee, no re-inspection fee.

Common Tremron Construction Problems We Solve in Orange County

Here’s what we see most often on Tremron installations across Orange County, and what’s actually causing it:

  • Heaving at control joints on 1960s-era concrete slabs. In older tracts like Garden Grove and parts of Anaheim, a lot of Tremron patios were laid directly over the original concrete slab. When Santa Ana winds hit and the soil dries out fast, the slab moves at its control joints, and the pavers on top crack in a straight line. Patching the paver without fixing the joint underneath is wasted effort.
  • White staining near the coast. We see this constantly in Newport Beach and Huntington Beach. It’s efflorescence, and the marine air is partly to blame. Chlorides from the coastal moisture react with the concrete and pull salts to the surface. It looks like a defect, but it’s usually a moisture issue, and sealing alone won’t solve it if the drainage underneath is trapping water.
  • Shifting retaining wall blocks on sloped lots. The wildland-urban interface areas, like parts of Anaheim Hills, are prone to this. When the original backfill was installed without proper drainage gravel, heavy rain builds up pressure behind the wall and the blocks begin to lean outward. Left alone, the wall eventually fails.
  • Color fading on full-sun yards. Orange County gets a lot of direct sunlight, and Tremron’s red and charcoal blends fade faster here than in cooler coastal microclimates. After eight to ten years, you end up with a patchy-looking patio even though the pavers are structurally sound.
  • Cracked individual pavers from tree roots or vehicle loads. This one is less about Tremron and more about what’s underneath. In Orange County’s 1950s-1970s neighborhoods, mature ficus and magnolia roots push up through sand-set paver bases, and driveways that weren’t engineered for heavier modern vehicles can crack under repeated stress.

Tremron Service in Orange County: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

Orange County’s patchwork of master-planned communities is the factor most homeowners overlook. This isn’t a county with one building department and one rulebook. Each city enforces its own codes, and in the HOA-heavy villages of Irvine especially, an architectural committee has to approve any paver color or pattern change before work begins. That approval process can take weeks, and if you pick a Tremron color without checking first, you may be ripping it out and starting over at your own expense. We’ve learned to submit Tremron Olde Towne samples directly to the committee for review, often before the homeowner has even signed a contract. It costs a little patience on the front end, but it saves an expensive do-over. In the older tracts of Anaheim and Garden Grove, the concern shifts from aesthetics to wiring and substrate. Aluminum branch wiring from the 1960s is a known insurance headache when any permit gets pulled for a remodel, and the concrete slabs those homes sit on were never designed to support a modern paver patio without some prep work. We account for all of it when we bid the job.

On a 1968 single-story in Garden Grove, our tech found a Tremron Diamond Pro patio with cracking pavers over an original concrete slab. We removed the affected section, repaired the slab’s control joint with a flexible membrane, then reset new Diamond Pro pavers in a herringbone pattern and sealed the whole patio. The homeowner avoided a full tear-out, and the patio has held through two Santa Ana seasons since.

Tremron Models & Products We Service in Orange County

We work with the full Tremron lineup that’s common in Orange County installations: Diamond Pro, Holland Stone, Olde Towne, and Mega Olde Towne. For repair work, we use genuine Tremron pavers and blocks whenever the color and dimension are still being produced. When a color has been discontinued, we source compatible aftermarket units with matching dimensions and mix them in so the repair isn’t obvious from the street. We stock the most common Orange County replacements locally, which means less waiting when a repair is straightforward. Our independent approach to Tremron sales & service means we’ll tell you honestly whether a specific paver line is worth restoring or whether your money is better spent on a full replacement with a different product.

Our Orange County Bathroom Remodeling and Tremron work in Orange County focuses on paver driveways, paver patios, and paver overlays on existing slabs. We repair individual damaged units before recommending a full tear-out, and we only suggest full replacement when the substrate has failed or the color mismatch is too widespread to patch convincingly.

Tremron Service Pricing in Orange County

A remodeled laundry and mudroom with a bench, cubbies and painted cabinets

Here’s what Tremron paver work costs in Orange County, based on the projects we’ve completed here:

Service Price Range (Orange County)
Paver Driveway Installation $7,000 – $18,000
Paver Patio Installation $3,500 – $11,000
Tile & Flooring (paver overlay) $2,000 – $6,500

What drives the number up or down? Square footage is the biggest factor, then the condition of what’s underneath. A clean sand base costs less to prep than a 1960s concrete slab that needs joint repair and a leveling layer. Color choice matters too; discontinued Tremron colors cost more to match. A free estimate from us includes a written, line-item price before any work starts. Call (424) 541-1701 for yours.

FAQs – Tremron Construction in Orange County

Can you match my existing Tremron Diamond Pro pavers if only a few are cracked but the color is no longer sold?

Yes, in most cases. If the Diamond Pro color is discontinued, we source aftermarket units with the same dimensions and blend them into the existing pattern. A small repair like this usually keeps the patio looking uniform enough that only someone on their hands and knees would notice. Call (424) 541-1701 and we’ll take a look at what you have and give you an exact number.

Why did my Tremron Holland Stone driveway heave at the joints in my 1970s Anaheim home?

Your driveway was very likely laid over the original concrete slab, not over a proper paver base. Orange County’s Santa Ana wind cycles cause the soil beneath the slab to dry and shrink unevenly, and the slab moves at its control joints. The pavers on top can’t flex, so they crack in a straight line. Fixing it properly means repairing the joint and resetting the affected section, not just swapping the broken pavers. Call us for a free estimate and we’ll tell you what’s really going on underneath.

Does Orange County’s marine air really cause white staining on Tremron pavers?

Yes, and it’s more common in Newport Beach and Huntington Beach than inland. The white staining is efflorescence, and the chlorides in coastal air accelerate it. It isn’t a Tremron defect; it’s a moisture issue. The right fix depends on where the water is coming from, which is why we always check the drainage before we recommend a sealer. Call (424) 541-1701 for an exact quote.

Will my Irvine HOA allow Tremron Olde Towne pavers for a front patio remodel?

Most Irvine villages will approve Olde Towne, but the architectural committee wants to see samples and a color rendering before they sign off. We handle that submission for you. It adds a little time before work starts, but it prevents the very unpleasant situation of installing a patio the HOA then makes you remove. Call us and we’ll walk you through the approval process for your specific village.

How long do Tremron retaining wall blocks last on a slope in Anaheim Hills?

On a properly built wall with drainage gravel behind it, Tremron blocks will last for decades. On a wall without proper drainage on a slope, you can see shifting and leaning within a few heavy rain seasons. Anaheim Hills lots are especially prone because of the grade. We can assess what’s behind your wall and tell you whether you need a repair or a rebuild. Estimates are free; call (424) 541-1701.
