Blanco Kitchen Remodeling: The Orange County Owner’s Guide
If you have a Blanco sink, faucet, or kitchen fixture that’s failed, we stock and install Blanco-compatible kitchen remodeling parts across Orange County, typically at a total installed cost of $14,000 to $45,000 for a full kitchen remodel, with smaller component replacements running far less. Most Blanco part replacements we handle are done in a single visit, since we keep common Blanco-compatible components on our service trucks.
The way most Orange County homeowners discover a Blanco part has failed is rarely dramatic. It starts with a slow drip that tightens into a constant one, a sink that doesn’t drain the way it used to, a faucet handle that feels loose no matter how many times you snug the set screw, or a garbage disposal flange that’s started weeping into the cabinet below. By the time we’re called, the plywood under the sink has usually taken on water and the homeowner has already tried two or three fixes from a hardware store aisle.
Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco manufactures sinks, faucets, and kitchen accessories across several distinct series lines, and the compatibility differences matter more than most homeowners expect. Blanco kitchen sinks generally fall into three material families: Silgranit (their composite granite material), stainless steel, and ceramic. Each uses different mounting hardware, drain assemblies, and basket strainer types. A drain assembly meant for a Silgranit sink will not always seat correctly in a stainless steel model, even if the diameter looks close.
Faucets are simpler to sort, but the gotcha is in the cartridge. Blanco faucets built before roughly 2014 often use a ceramic disc cartridge that is no longer produced as an OEM part. Aftermarket equivalents exist, and we stock several that hold up well, but a homeowner ordering by faucet model number alone can easily end up with a cartridge that fits the housing but leaks at the neck. When you call us, we ask for the model number stamped on the faucet base or printed on the original paperwork, then we measure the cartridge before touching anything.
Blanco sink models in Orange County kitchens skew toward the Diamond series, the Precis series, and the Performa series. The Precis low-divide models, popular in Irvine’s older neighborhoods near the Spectrum, have a specific undermount clip pattern that differs from the Diamond series. If a sink is being replaced rather than repaired, getting the countertop cutout dimensions right is the difference between a clean install and a second countertop job. We measure the cutout before the sink is ordered, every time.
We also work with KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone products for the surrounding remodel, but when the Blanco component is the problem, we match it specifically to the model you already own.
Penhallow Remodeling Orange County is an independent contractor. We are not a Blanco dealer or an authorized Blanco service center. We install and service Blanco-compatible components and have years of hands-on experience with how these particular fixtures behave in Southern California homes.

Signs Your Blanco Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Drain basket corrosion or rust at the flange. Bare stainless steel against hard water deposits in Orange County eventually pits. Once the flange lip corrodes, the seal fails and water finds the cabinet floor.
- Faucet handle stiffening or grinding. The cartridge inside is worn, and no amount of handle tightening helps. Continuing to force the handle scores the housing, turning a cartridge swap into a full faucet replacement.
- Under-sink moisture or warped cabinet base. Often a slow leak from the Blanco drain gasket. By the time the cabinet bottom swells, the gasket has been failing for weeks.
- Silgranit surface chipping around the rim. Impact from cast iron pans or heavy pots chips the composite. Small chips are cosmetic; chips that expose the substrate can hold water and worsen over time.
- Low water pressure at the sprayer head. A clogged aerator or a failing diverter inside the sprayer body. Mineral buildup from Orange County’s hard water shortens the sprayer’s useful life significantly.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a full kitchen remodel involving a Blanco sink and fixture set, Orange County homeowners typically spend $14,000 to $45,000 depending on cabinet line, countertop material, and the scope of the plumbing changes. A standalone Blanco sink replacement with new drain and mounting hardware runs substantially less, usually in the $800 to $2,500 range when no countertop modification is required. A faucet cartridge replacement is typically under $400 installed.
Here’s the pricing breakdown for common Blanco-specific work in Orange County:
- Blanco sink replacement (same footprint): $800 – $2,500
- Blanco faucet cartridge replacement: $200 – $400
- Blanco drain assembly and gasket replacement: $250 – $600
- Full kitchen remodel with Blanco fixtures: $14,000 – $45,000
Every price we quote is written, not verbal. The number we give you before work starts is the number on the invoice. That’s part of the 365-Day Done Right Promise, straight from The Kingswell Way: if the repair fails inside a year, we come back and fix it at no charge. The return visit is free too, no service call and no re-inspection fee. You get the written guarantee with the job, on paper, before a tool comes off the truck.
DIY or Call Us?
A drain basket swap on a Blanco sink is something an experienced homeowner can handle with a basin wrench and time, but the risk is in the gasket seating. An overtightened basket strainer deforms the gasket and leaks worse than the one you pulled out. Undertightened, it weeps slowly. It’s a two-person job on a stainless sink because the sink needs to be held from underneath while the top nut is set, and it’s even trickier on Silgranit, which does not flex like steel.
Faucet cartridges are the part where we see the most DIY failures. The Blanco cartridge tool kits are specific to the generation of faucet, and forcing the wrong puller scores the brass body permanently. If the faucet is a 2014 or earlier model with the discontinued cartridge, you’re hunting aftermarket parts anyway, and the compatibility testing alone takes an hour most homeowners don’t have.
My rule from years of fixing these: give you the number first, then pick up the tool. If you’d rather hand the job off, call (424) 541-1701 and we’ll send a background-checked, uniformed technician who’s done this more than once. The estimate is free.
FAQs

A Blanco Silgranit sink typically lasts 15 to 25 years in Orange County before surface wear or mounting failure becomes an issue, but the drain assembly and gaskets usually need replacement every 8 to 12 years. Hard water shortens the gasket life. Call (424) 541-1701 if your sink is showing its age.
Yes, in most cases a Blanco faucet can be repaired with a new cartridge, O-rings, or a sprayer diverter rather than replacing the whole faucet, which keeps the cost under $400 instead of $500 to $1,200 for a new fixture. If the faucet body is pitted from hard water, replacement makes more sense. Call us and we’ll tell you which route is worth your money.
Most same-footprint Blanco sink replacements take one visit of 4 to 6 hours, including removal, new drain assembly, mounting, and plumbing reconnection. If we’re also replacing countertop material, the full job runs 3 to 5 days across Orange County depending on fabrication lead times.
We stock common Blanco-compatible drain assemblies, gaskets, basket strainers, and cartridge equivalents on our trucks and in our Orange County shop, so most repairs are completed on the first visit. If a specific OEM part has to be ordered, we’ll give you that timeline in writing before any work starts.
