Tremron Fence Installation: The Orange County Owner’s Guide
We install Tremron concrete fence systems throughout Orange County, and a full installation typically runs $3,500 to $9,000 depending on the column count, wall length, and whether we’re matching existing footings or pouring new ones. Most homeowners call us after a wall section starts leaning, a column cap cracks from sprinkler overspray, or a gate post works loose in its footing and stops latching. We stock Tremron’s common post and panel dimensions in Orange County and can usually get a crew scheduled within a week of the written estimate.
If your concrete fence is leaning, cracked, or listing like a sailboat after this year’s rains, the failure is usually in the footing or the steel, not the Tremron block itself. We’ll walk the line with you, figure out whether the fix is one column or a full run, and hand you a number in writing before a single block gets pulled. That’s how we’ve always worked in Orange County, and it’s saved a lot of homeowners from paying for full rebuilds when a spot repair would’ve done it.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron’s fence systems break into two main lines in Orange County: the structural concrete post-and-panel systems (commonly installed with 8-inch and 12-inch blocks) and the more decorative screen-wall systems that use modular units stacked between precast columns. The key gotcha is that Tremron fence blocks are not all interchangeable between lines. An experienced installer knows the difference in a minute, but here’s what matters for you: the block height, web thickness, and the post pocket dimensions have to match the original layout, or you’ll end up shimming, grinding, and fighting every third block as you rebuild.
Tremron’s concrete fence product families have been updated over the years, and the current production block dimensions don’t always match what was poured fifteen years ago. If your Orange County home was built in the 1990s or early 2000s, the original Tremron fence around your side yard or along the property line may have come from a mold set that’s been discontinued. In those cases we source compatible aftermarket pieces or recut existing block to match rather than forcing a newer Tremron profile that sits proud of the wall face. You’ll see the difference in the joints, and so will every neighbor who walks past it. We spec OEM Tremron when it’s available and appropriate, and we’re clear about it on the quote when aftermarket is the better fit for your original dimensions.
Penhallow Remodeling Orange County is an independent remodeling and installation company. We work with Tremron block every season and carry the common posts, caps, and panels in our Orange County yard, but we’re not a Tremron dealer or an affiliate of the manufacturer. When you call us about a Tremron fence, you’re talking to the people who will actually set the block, not a call center quoting from a catalog.

Signs Your Tremron Fence Installation Is Failing
- Leaning columns or wall sections. This almost always traces back to a footing issue: not enough concrete below grade, no steel cage, or drainage that undermined the soil. In Orange County’s clay-heavy neighborhoods like Anaheim Hills or Yorba Linda, expansive soil heaves fence footings every wet winter and leaves them leaning by spring.
- Cracked column caps and missing caps. Sprinkler overspray soaks the caps, and hard water from Orange County municipal systems leaves mineral deposits that penetrate the concrete over years. Freeze-thaw isn’t our big problem here, but salt and mineral creep from reclaimed irrigation water is.
- Gate posts working loose. This is the most common call we get. A swinging gate constantly torques its post, the footing cracks, and the latch stops catching. If you have to lift or drag the gate to close it, the post has already moved.
- Horizontal cracking along the mortar or dry-stack joints. This means the wall is settling unevenly. One side of the footing is dropping while the other holds, and the block line is taking the stress across its weakest plane.
- Crumbling mortar or efflorescence that won’t stop. White chalky bloom on the face of the block means water is moving through the wall. If it’s a retaining-style fence, hydrostatic pressure is building behind it, and that’s a structural problem, not a cosmetic one.
Replacement Cost & What’s Included

For Orange County Tremron fence work, we quote line-item. A partial rebuild of two or three columns with new caps and repointing the adjoining panels usually falls between $3,500 and $6,000. A full fence replacement or a long property-line run with new footings, steel, block, caps, and finish work lands between $6,000 and $9,000. What pushes the number up: excavating failed footings in tight side yards, matching discontinued block, working around gas and irrigation lines, and hauling away the old concrete. What keeps it down: a clean demo, standard 8-inch block in current production, and access for a small skid steer or a wheelbarrow crew.
Every quote includes removal and disposal of the failed section, new concrete and steel reinforcement in the footings, the block, mortar or adhesive, caps, cleanout of the joints, and a written workmanship warranty. If anything we set moves or cracks inside a year, we come back and make it right at no charge. That’s not a conversation; it’s in the contract.

Concrete fence block is heavy. A single 8-inch Tremron block runs between 40 and 65 pounds depending on the profile, and a column cap is awkward at best. The injury risk here isn’t high-tension like a garage spring, but a dropped block on a foot or an overbalanced column section is a real way to end a Saturday. What you can safely do: photograph the damaged area, measure the block height and width, and clear the work area of irrigation lines and plantings. What we’d rather you not do: try to reset a leaning column with a bottle jack and hope. We’ve fixed enough of those to know that a leaning column’s footing is almost always gone below grade, and new block stacked on a broken footing leans again within months.

FAQs

A properly installed Tremron fence with good drainage and proper footings should last 40 to 50 years in Orange County before the block itself starts to fail. What shortens that life is water: sprinkler overspray on caps, poor drainage behind the wall, or footing depth that doesn’t get below the expansive soil zone. The block is the last thing to give; the footing and drainage are what fail first.
In most cases, yes. If the lean is isolated to one or two columns and the block is not cracked through, we remove those sections, excavate and repour the footings, rebuild, and repoint the surrounding joints. If the wall line is drifting in three or more places, the original footings were undersized everywhere, and a repair just delays the next section’s failure. We’ll tell you which situation you have before we quote anything.
A single-column reset is a two-day job: day one is demo, dig, and set the steel and footing; day two is block, cap, and cleanout. A full side-yard run with eight to ten columns and new panels typically takes four to six days, with a day of that for concrete cure. Call (424) 541-1701 and we’ll give you a schedule with the written estimate.
We keep the most common Tremron profiles in our Orange County yard, including standard 8-inch and 12-inch post-and-panel block and column caps. If your fence uses an older discontinued profile, we source compatible replacements through our suppliers and confirm the match with you before we start. You’ll never have to chase block yourself or rent a flatbed to pick it up.
