The Penhallow Remodeling Orange County Guarantee
For us, a guarantee isn’t a marketing line. It’s the thing that forces us to do the job right the first time. Every project we take on in Orange County, from a compact bathroom in Costa Mesa to a whole-home remodel in Anaheim Hills, comes with a written price before any work starts and a written guarantee that covers the work itself. The centerpiece is our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if something we installed fails inside that first year, we come back and fix it at no charge. Not a service call fee, not a re-inspection fee, not a prorated discount. We return, we repair, we’re done. That promise is in writing on every single project, and Trevor Nash, Owner of Penhallow Remodeling Orange County, signs off on it personally.
The same standard has been running through the Kingswell family of companies since 2004. We call it The Kingswell Way, and it comes down to three things: say the price before the work, show up in the window we gave, and leave the place cleaner than we found it. Our Orange County location is independently owned and operated, but we hold ourselves to that same bar on every kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home remodel we take on.
What’s Covered

Here’s what our written guarantee actually protects. No fine print hidden in a drawer, just the commitments we put on paper before demo day:
- Workmanship on every trade we touch. Framing, tile setting, cabinet installation, countertop fitting, plumbing fixture hookups, drywall, paint, and finish carpentry are covered under the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If a joint opens, a tile cracks loose, or a cabinet door stops sitting square within the guarantee period, we fix it at no charge.
- Parts and materials we supply. If a Kohler faucet or a Moen valve we installed fails inside the first year, we’ll handle the replacement and the labor. We don’t push you into a phone tree with the manufacturer and wish you luck. We deal with it.
- Cleanup as part of the job, not a favor at the end. A remodel is dusty work, but a job site that stays messy is a job site where details get missed. We keep the work area contained during construction and do a full cleanup before we call the project done.
- On-time arrival and a defined window. When we schedule a day to start, we show up in the window we gave you. Not a four-day span, not “sometime next week.” A window we actually hit. That discipline is part of the Kingswell Guarantee, and it’s been part of the operating standard since 2004.
- Written price before any work starts. The number on your estimate is the number on your invoice. We don’t write ranges, we don’t float ballparks, and we don’t come back mid-project with a change order because we “discovered” something we should have caught during the walkthrough. The price is in writing, and it holds.
What’s not covered? Damage caused by neglect, misuse, or someone else modifying our work after we leave. Reasonable stuff. But if it’s our craft, our materials, or our process that failed, it’s on us.
Styles & brands we work with

Our Satisfaction Promise
If something isn’t right, we want the call. Not a review-bomb, not a complaint to the contractor’s board, not a handyman patching over our work. A phone call to (424) 541-1701, any hour, and a real person picks up. That person is a live human being on our team, not a voicemail box or an answering service. You’ll explain what’s bothering you, and we’ll schedule a return visit.
Here’s the exact process if you’re unhappy inside the first year: you call us, we set a time to come look, and we show up in the window we gave. Trevor or a senior project lead walks the issue with you, looks at what’s failing or falling short, and decides what it takes to make it right. If it’s our work that failed under the 365-Day Done Right Promise, the repair is free. No service call, no re-inspection fee, no arguing about whose fault it is. The second visit is free if the repair fails again. That’s not conditional, and it’s not “subject to availability.” It’s the standard.
If it’s purely a matter of taste, like you’ve lived with the tile for three months and realized you hate the color, that’s not a warranty issue. But if the tile is installed wrong, if the grout is failing, if the cabinet drawer is binding, if a seam in the countertop opened, that’s on us, and we’ll make it right without making you fight for it. That’s the whole point of a guarantee: it should convert your anxiety into our problem, on paper, from day one.
Licensed & Insured Backing

Paperwork doesn’t build a kitchen, but it’s the reason a guarantee means anything. Penhallow Remodeling Orange County is a state-licensed general contractor, and every job we run carries the insurance coverage a serious remodel demands. If a worker gets hurt on your property, you’re not left holding the medical bill. If something goes sideways mid-project, you’re not financing the fix out of pocket. The license means a regulatory board can hold us accountable if we don’t meet the standard we promised. The insurance means the financial exposure sits with us, not with your homeowner’s policy.
We’re insured and bonded, and our technicians are background-checked and uniformed on every visit. When someone shows up at your door in Orange County to walk your kitchen layout, they’re an employee who’s been vetted and who represents our name on their shirt. That matters when you’re handing over keys to a house you live in. Between the written guarantee, the insurance backing, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise, the protection is layered: the license binds us to state standards, the insurance protects you from liability, and the written promise binds us to the specific work we did in your home.

AfterWhy We Put It in Writing
Most contractors will tell you they stand behind their work. Few will hand you a piece of paper that says what happens if they don’t, with a timeline and a dollar amount attached. We do, because we’ve seen what happens when a homeowner trusts a verbal promise. A tile shower in Huntington Beach fails six months in, the contractor’s phone goes to voicemail, and the homeowner is left paying a stranger to tear out someone else’s mistake. Our guarantee exists so that scenario never involves us.
The 365-Day Done Right Promise is not a marketing campaign. It’s an operational commitment. It means we buy better materials, because replacing a failing faucet inside a year eats into the margin and the schedule. It means we train our crews to the Kingswell standard, because returning to fix sloppy work costs more than doing it slowly and correctly the first time. It means the price we quote has to be realistic, because padding a job only to eat warranty returns later is a losing game. The guarantee doesn’t just protect you. It keeps us honest.
What We Install, and Why It Supports the Guarantee

A warranty is only as strong as the materials behind it. We install cabinet lines like KraftMaid and Wellborn, countertops from Cambria, Silestone, and Caesarstone, and fixtures from Kohler, Moen, Delta, Toto, Grohe, and Blanco. These are brands that carry their own manufacturer warranties, which sit alongside ours. So when we install a Cambria quartz countertop in a Laguna Niguel kitchen, you’re protected twice: the manufacturer backs the material, and we back the fabrication and installation. The same logic applies to James Hardie siding on an exterior remodel, or Therma-Tru doors on a whole-home project. Layered protection, not a single point of failure.
That’s the practical reason we don’t shop the bargain aisle for client work. A $40 faucet from a big-box clearance shelf might cost less on day one, but it’s far more likely to fail inside the guarantee period, and then we’re eating the return visit. We’d rather install a Moen or Kohler valve we trust, charge a fair price for it, and sleep at night knowing the call probably won’t come.
One More Thing About the Phone
Guarantees only work if you can reach someone when you need to. That’s why a live person answers our phones 24/7. At 3 p.m. on a Tuesday, at 9 p.m. on a Friday, and at 6 a.m. on a Saturday when you notice water pooling under the sink we installed. Not a voicemail prompt, not an automated callback window, not a chatbot. A real person who can take your details and get the right person moving. If something we built is failing, the worst thing we could do is make you wait on hold while water soaks into your cabinet base.
Call (424) 541-1701 and you’ll reach someone who can help. Tell them what’s going on, and we’ll figure out the next step together. That’s the whole promise, in one sentence: we said we’d do the work right, we put it in writing, and we answer the phone when you need us.
